A Seprona operation removes 900 illegal drugs from the Basque Country and Cantabria
The Civil Guard has withdrawn from the market in Cantabria and the Basque Country about 900 products considered illegal medicines, whose value would exceed 10,000 euros, and has arrested two people and investigated another six for their distribution, as reported by the Delegation of the Government in the Basque Country. Within the framework of Operation "OBAT", the Civil Guard of Cantabria has proceeded to the arrest of a couple from Vitoria, of Senegalese origin and 39 years of age, and instructed six other individuals from Cantabria and Bizkaia, of Senegalese, Dominican Republic and Ghana origin, as alleged perpetrators of a crime against public health, for the distribution of substances considered illegal medicines.
At the end of June, agents of the Nature Protection Service (SEPRONA) of the Civil Guard of Cantabria, observed a product considered illegal medication in a window of a cosmetics store in Santander. The Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS) draws up a list of products considered illegal drugs as they include pharmacological substances dangerous to health. In this case, some cosmetics offered for sale at the aforementioned location contained Hydroquinone, a dermatological depigmentation agent that can cause adverse health effects.
Due to this, an inspection was carried out in the establishment, as a result of which, a total of 28 products containing the aforementioned chemical compound were withdrawn. At this time, the researchers launched Operation «OBAT», in order to locate other possible points of sale for this type of product and to be able to withdraw them from the market.
Holy shit. I forgot how to format dialogue in a story. https://t.co/88Dm1UUar1
