Cosmetics: Another success sector in Córdoba

Córdoba gets pretty without leaving home, if the beauty that already treasures a land with four distinctions of World Heritage and innumerable corners can be improved by all its geography to delight, get lost and let time pass without looking the watch.But in case a touch -up is lacking, the province welcomes different laboratories, factories and shops that are dedicated to the production of cosmetics and makeup.From large brands that have settled their manufacturing process in Córdoba, to the small trade that elaborates its own products with natural and Cordoba elements.

The latter is the case of Pedroches cosmetics, a local brand located in Pozoblanco that this 2021 has completed its five years of existence with a positive balance and an increase in the offer and ranges of its products.

At the head of this family trade are Esperanza, Isabel and Juana.The three owners have ecological olive grove in the region of the Pedroches and joined to "take advantage of it in another way", beyond the production of extra virgin olive oil, the main ingredient in many of their elaborations, as one of the co -owners remembers.

All their products are handmade, made by themselves, with natural ingredients.Some of them are the result of the mixture of up to more than 14 components.Creams are made with oils, which becomes "the result of the maceration of olive oil with plants," says Juana Redondo.

Many of these ingredients are close, because "we always try to buy in the Pedroches, since we want to give value to our environment, what we have".On the other hand, with respect to those that are more difficult to achieve in the province "we are opening the fan and, if we do not get them in Andalusia, they are of national origin".

As the co -owner explains, creams are made from the base, because "we never buy a base cream; the vast majority of creams is made with a base that is already bought, but we work that base".

The olive oil used in each recipe is the same that is destined for food consumption, of cooperatives in the area.In addition, soaps have the peculiarity that when they are made from the base, they need a minimum healing of 40 days.

The rest of the oils (rosemary, rice or almond, among others) "are top quality and first pressed," confirms round.

"We started as our own consumption and we already saw that it was also a way of recycling," since part of the ingredients of some elaborations (especially for home cleaning) are made with recycled oils.The same goes for potassium soap for plant care.

The soap has a special prominence in this small trade, since "it is like in a house the foundations, it is the main basis for caring for the health of our skin".Therefore for each of the ranges that composes the catalog, there is a type of soap (for clothes, for the home, for the skin...).

Even if they started with the manufacture of this product, they have gradually expanded their offer, so that they currently have pet care (soaps and lotions for dogs and horsepower), and also home products (homemade chitamanchas, atmosphere andclothing soap).

In facial care, oils and butter, racks, tonic and creams stand out.Juana comments that many of these products have benefits for skin care and their problems, such as psoriasis, acne, eccema and others.Creams related to these care are of the best selling, although rosemary and lavandin soap are the "kings of sales", says co -owner.

Other examples of manufacturing cosmetics products are found in Bioxil Laboratories, located in Villafranca de Córdoba and with a physical store in the town of Montilla.

This company has more than 40 years of experience in the hairdressing, beauty and aesthetics sector.It is mainly dedicated to the manufacture of cosmetic products, such as capillary dyes, masks and shampoos, among others.

It has an R&D Laboratory in continuous study, offering new products and creating innovative lines such as vegan, keratin or hyaluronic acid.Bioxil, Alauxi, Future Line and Keothem are their own brands that offer a range of products specialized in personal care.

The laboratories have been installed in Córdoba for more than 17 years, where they moved from Madrid for the "lifestyle" and for the need to buy a production plant, since the business has been growing throughout its extensive "life"says the worker and daughter of the founder, Sara Flag.

At the beginning of their existence they were only focused on hairdressing products, although they have already covered the makeup market or creams such as anti -cellulite.

This expansion of products is also reflected in the extension of the market, since they distribute throughout the national territory and "we are playing several projects in Ukraine", in addition to other markets at the international level.

Sara comments that "we only buy national product", and states that in Córdoba there are no companies that work the raw material of their compositions.Among all its products, the star lies in the antiques, because "in terms of quality, we have no competition," concludes flag.
