Starting to use a facial cleansing brush and feeling like you've unlocked the next level of your at-home care routine is both a logical and wonderful feeling. A step that, however, always generates doubts: will it be as effective as they tell us? will i know how to use it? Will I get enough of it to make it worth the investment? Will my skin notice the results? I regret to inform you that the only way to get rid of doubts is to encourage you once and for all to try it. The good news is that surely as soon as you see the effect it has on your skin, your next question will be why haven't I used it before? And if you're looking for an electric cleanser, at USU Cosmetics, a Spanish firm inspired by the principles of Korean cosmetics, they have a cleansing kit that is perfect for beginners, and even better to give as a gift.

The star of this USU Cosmetics set is the Easy Nusu cleansing brush, made of ultra-hygienic silicone resistant to bacteria and provided with small filaments that, through micropulses, are responsible for cleaning the pores and removing from excess oil to dead cells that accumulate on the face. It has three levels of intensity, which means that it is suitable for all skin types; my recommendation is to start with the soft one and little by little, if your skin allows it and needs it, increase to medium or intense. The best? That it has a perfect size both to use at home and to take it on a trip in the accompanying toiletry bag.
The perfect complement, and the reason this set is even more worthwhile, is a cleansing foam with Cica, pH 5.5. and centella asiatica extract. The idea is not only to make things a little easier for beginners —answering the eternal question: which cleanser do I use with the brush?— but also to offer a cleansing but soothing and moisturizing formula that promotes skin regeneration.

How is it used?
- Remove make-up with micellar water or cleansing milk.
- Moisten your face and apply some cleansing foam.
- Turn on the cleansing brush, select the intensity (gentle, medium or intense) and go over the entire face using gentle circular movements for between one and two minutes.
- Turn it off by pressing the button for a few seconds (it resisted me at first).
- Clarifies and removes traces of cleansing foam.
- After drying the face, it is time to apply the toner, serum, moisturizer and the rest of the steps of your facial routine.
As for the frequency with which the cleaning brush should be used, there is no specific rule because, like everything else, it depends on the type of skin. What is important is to start using it gradually, so that it is not aggressive. In my case (I have combination skin) a couple of days a week is enough to keep blackheads at bay and notice my skin is much softer than before cleaning it with this tool.
