Commvault has announced the availability of a new solution for schools, colleges and universities, which can purchase Metallic Office 365 Backup in licensed mode, aligning with the Microsoft Office 365 purchase process.

For every Metallic Office 365 Backup teacher license purchased, educational organizations will receive four free student licenses. These licenses will be free while the student is in the educational institution and the offer is applicable to all degrees.

“During these last months of the pandemic, it has been crucial to be able to maintain the education of students, and, although the measures adopted seemed temporary at first, given the evolution of the pandemic, they have established a new educational model,” says Elisa Martínez, Metallic Cloud Sales Leader for Iberia of Commvault.

After Covid-19, it is necessary to ensure that online teaching meets quality standards. Combining Azure cloud storage with Metallic's BaaS protection for Microsoft 365, IT professionals in academia can quickly start protecting student and faculty devices.

The Metallic solution combined with Azure offers coverage across Microsoft Exchange, OneDrive, SharePoint, Project, and Teams to help ensure that valuable Microsoft 365 data is protected and recoverable from deletion or attack.

Additionally, silent installations and backups of the Metallic solution typically require no action from end users. Data is protected without affecting the productivity of faculty, staff, or students.

Availability Spain and Portugal

Metallic educational licenses are now available in Spain and Portugal.
