Amateur soccer returned to synthetic fields; biosafety protocols
Author : Andrés Felipe Ramos Gámez
On the stages, the mat to disinfect shoe soles and antibacterial gel are at the entrance.
Enjoying soccer games with peace of mind but complying with biosafety protocols was the message that owners, managers of synthetic fields and the practitioners themselves sent to the community.
The venues reopened their doors to the public and compared to other establishments related to exercise and physical activity, they do have a massive presence of players, but controlled.
Eduardo Julián Polanco, one of the administrators of these spaces, expressed the satisfaction generated by returning to provide services and beginning to recover in economic matters.
“We started operating after 5 months of being closed, yes, with all the biosafety protocols. We are motivated because people have even accompanied us, when we reopened we thought that due to fear of COVID-19 it would be more difficult for people to arrive and we would have dead hours, however, we were very surprised because we have calendars and agendas full”, Polanco highlighted to this written outlet.
He added: "We invite those who may not have had the opportunity to come to these sports venues and check that there is security, there is no crowd of people, there are only those who are going to play."
He highlighted that the success of the protocols is also linked to the behavior of the public: “We insist on the importance of taking care of ourselves, we expose people, for example, that in places where there is an X they cannot sit, Those who are present on the pitches have complied with the information because they understand that it is a personal benefit and for everyone in general”.
This written medium also consulted Jairo Alberto Alzate, administrator of another of the sports centers in the capital of Quindío, who highlighted that since they are active again, little by little the public has come closer.
“We reopened and we have had activity and income, especially at night. Everything is on the right track and happy to reopen the doors ”.
The biosafety protocols are active and the population that takes advantage of the space for the development of the sport also pays attention to the indications.
In general, the time most requested by clients to practice football is between 7 p.m. m. and 10 p.m. m., once the work or student days are over.
For this reason, he considers that a new curfew would be a mistake, because at night there is more movement: “Workers and students take advantage of the night hours to exercise. The curfew would be a mistake because it hurts us who spent more than 5 months with our doors closed and that little by little we are recovering financially," Polanco said.

Invitation from athletes
Put fear aside, learn to live with the situation but at the same time comply with biosecurity measures, is the message of those who practice sports in these places to the general population.
Andrés Maldonado is one of those who returned to practice, he is aware that many do not want to go out and even criticize the same ones who now have fun on the synthetic courts: “We had been waiting for many days to kick the 'freckled' again It was possible, thank God. We have to undergo disinfection when entering the establishment and use the mask if we are not playing. Life has to go on and that is why I invite people to come back, abiding by the recommendations”.
Óscar Fabián Ortiz was also satisfied to play again: “It was necessary to step on the synthetic courts, I like this sport and sharing with people. You have to do your part for the protocols to take effect and thus everyone be calm ”.
Johan Manuel Martínez gave his point of view: “You have to learn to live with this pandemic because it is going to take a long time. You have to be careful, of course, comply with the biosafety protocols and thus we can enjoy physical activity ”.
Biosecurity protocols
In some scenarios the person who will play has to arrive at the courts changed, because the dressing rooms are not authorized by official regulation.
But the player must also go through the mat to disinfect the sole of the shoes. Then apply the antibacterial gel that is located at the entrance and almost always at the foot of the mat.
In the place, the thermometer will be in operation to know the temperature and thus generate greater peace of mind for those who will be part of the comparison. It is mandatory to fill out a record where full name, identification and telephone number and the degrees that the thermometer indicated are requested.
While waiting for their turn to enter the field of play, people must be distanced and it is mandatory to wear a face mask, the same happens with those who are not part of the show.
There is also a period of time between 10 and 15 minutes for the group to leave the field and the other group to enter in an orderly manner and without having contact with those who are leaving.
