An autumn wedding in Madrid: the 'yes, I want' by Ana and Carlos (with high doses of romanticism)

By Garbiñe continent

A wedding in autumn, a farm in the countryside as an idyllic setting and the magic bestowed by the most romantic season of the year. Ana and Carlos gave themselves yes, I want, last November in Madrid, in a link that corroborated the special celebrations in the weeks before Christmas.

From the very beginning they knew that they wanted a wedding in autumn and all the decoration was orchestrated around this concept. "we wanted autumn to invade the inside of the food, with trees in the same tones that were on the outside at the time; with its leaves falling and its colors already plummeted," recalls the bride. Thus, for the decoration they chose ochre, green and brown tones, and natural elements such as moss, fruits, grapes, pineapples or grenades. The stationery also had some protagonism; the waiters and the seating plan, illustrated by Pils Ferrer -friend of the couple-honored two great elements of the wedding: wine and champagne.

For the wedding dress, Ana trusted Sofia Delgado. "I knew that I wanted a sober, minimalist dress that would evolve during the wedding and I felt that the characteristic point of the look was the fabric. Taking into account the date of the wedding, Sofia showed me a beautiful embroidered fine wool cloth and I saw it very clearly, "says the bride. The result was a simple, delicate and ultra-sophisticated dress with shoulder pads, top shirt with bat sleeves, removable tail and halter neck. The look was completed with Ferragamo's shoes, the ring Carlos asked him to marry, the request ring given to him by his in-laws and some earrings borrowed from his mother.

Ana and Carlos celebrated a wedding with autumn as the protagonist, on the date they always wanted and demonstrating that there is also a positive side to adversity. "it is true that with COVID you are always accompanied by some uncertainty, as things change from day to day. But that's why people enjoy, get involved, give themselves up and live it a lot longer. A wedding is always enjoyed a lot, but I think, now, twice as much! "
