Basic products you need to have to clean your shoes well
They sell countless products, cleaning kits, and guides with intricate items that promise to teach you how to clean shoes. However, the only thing you need to do it is at home in a very simple way, and it is much cheaper than buying those promises that give similar (or lesser) results and that make us spend without thinking.
So if you want to take care of cleaning your shoes on your own, pay attention and see how with a few basic products you can save your shoes.
White vinegar and baking soda
White vinegar is perfect if you need to clean leather shoes. All you need is a small mixture of water and vinegar in equal amounts to clean dirt. It is recommended that after that mixture they are cleaned with a soft cloth and after that a damp cloth that has been dipped in baking soda is used to give it two quick scrubs. They should be quite shiny and without stains.
White vinegar is also perfect for removing stains from suede shoes, or to give them a shinier look.
To clean sneakers, you can use vinegar with acetone on a cotton pad to remove hard-to-erase stains.
It can also be used to remove odor from sandals, but it's worth soaking them in baking soda first.
Two brushes (one large and one small)
A toothbrush is great for cleaning any type of shoe (just remember not to use the same one on all of them, try to use one for each type of shoe).
