Coronavirus: Alcalá de Henares Baja Finally of the 75 cases of Covid
The best forecasts we announced last week in our weekly summary of the epidemiological report of the Community of Madrid have been fulfilled.Alcalá de Henares reduces from 110 to 74 its cases of covid per 100.000 inhabitants, abandoning (hopefully forever) the hundred cases.
And it is that the rhythm of decrease in the incidence of Coronavirus continues in Alcalá de Henares as demonstrated in the latest epidemiological report of Covid-19 surveillance, published by the Community of Madrid this Tuesday, which shows an accumulated incidence of 73,9cases per 100.000 inhabitants in the last 14 days.
It is a positive fact since it is reduced in 36 units compared to last week, which nevertheless keeps the city complute among the six municipalities with more than 50.000 inhabitants (of a total of 23) with worse accumulated incidence data.
The 7 -day data continues to predict good data for next week, since the figure this week down to 34.4 cases of AI, four less than in the previous report.
As for risk groups, the average age of the new infected remains centered on the unaccoured ones, since the highest accumulated incidence occurs between 0 and 14 years. The good news is that in the last seven days the total of cases has been reduced by 22.3%, compared to the previous week.
Covid figures in the neighborhoods of Alcalá de Henares
In Alcalá de Henares, all basic health areas show data in descent, including La Garena and Carmen Calzado that last week slightly increase.
Two basic health areas remains above 130 cases (Puerta de Madrid and La Garena) and there is no area at ‘extreme risk’ (more than 250 cases).
The worst data is marked by the GARENA with 133.10 cases of AI (compared to 159.72 cases of the past report). The best figure now corresponds to Miguel de Cervantes with only 35.89 cases per 100.000 inhabitants (compared to 61.01 seven days ago), which places it full in the low risk zone (from 20 to 50).
Coronavirus data in Alcalá de Henares and other locations
The accumulated incidence of 73.9 cases per 100.000 inhabitants (146 total) places Alcalá de Henares this week in 18th place among the 23 urban centers of the region with more than 50.000 inhabitants, even in the tail van of the main Madrid municipalities.
Those who have the highest incidence in this list are now Getafe, Parla, Arganda del Rey, with data of 87.5, 89.9 and 91.7 respectively.
All Madrid populations of more than 50.000 inhabitants are already below the so -called ‘extreme risk’ (250 cases per 100.000 inhabitants) and all finally lower the hundred cases of covid.
Datos de los informes anteriores:
Torrejón de Ardoz, in the thirteenth place
The neighboring town of Torrejón de Ardoz also reduces its accumulated incidence, although it worsens its position with respect to the rest of Madrid municipalities with more than 50.000 inhabitants.
This week, its fourteen days is reduced to 72.3 cases per 100.000 inhabitants (respecto a los 79 casos de la semana pasada). This is a total of 96 positive cases (compared to 105 seven days ago). Its incidence accumulated to seven days (33.9) is almost equal to last week (38.4) data that suggests a certain stagnation in the figures of the next report.
¿Qué es la incidencia acumulada? In order to measure and compare the incidence of Coronavirus in two different areas, for example, that of a neighborhood with that of a city, or a country, a value that is independent of the absolute figure of cases is needed.
In the case of the daily monitoring of the COVID-19 this is calculated with the accumulated incidence and the criteria has been set in a sample of 100.000 inhabitants en 14 días.It is calculated by dividing the number of cases appeared over a period, among the number of individuals free of the disease at the beginning of the period.
Therefore, a value of 800 cases of accumulated incidence of Covid in a neighborhood does not mean that 800 people have ill in that neighborhood.Rather, he says, “if the neighborhood had 100.000 inhabitants, tendría 800 nuevos enfermos”.To know the real figure you will have to make a rule of three.
Another example: Alcalá de Henares has an approximate population of 200.000 inhabitants. If in a week it has an accumulated incidence of 500 cases per 100.000 inhabitants, quiere decir que en realidad ha tenido nuevos 1.000 cases.

Risk thresholds
It is considered new normality if the accumulated incidence at 14 days is below 20 cases of accumulated incidence;low risk if they are between 20 and 50;of average risk if it is between 50 and 150;high risk between 150 and 250;and extreme risk if it exceeds 250.
