Three tricks to clean your suede shoes with products you already have at home
Cleaning shoes has never been an easy task, especially when they are made of a fabric as delicate as suede. Surely more than once your suede shoes have gotten dirty and you have found it impossible to remove the stain.
You will probably have tried to remove it with soap and water and, even, they will have been dirtier than before. However, there are some infallible tricks to easily remove stains from your suede shoes with three products that you have in your home.
Toothbrush or soft bristles
Use a soft-bristled brush or toothbrush to remove any dust or other debris that has gotten stuck to your shoes. For it to work, it is important to always brush in the same direction as the suede hairs so that the shoe is not damaged.
micellar water
This product is used in various ways for skin care: to tone, cleanse, hydrate or even as a make-up remover. You would never have thought of using this product to clean your suede shoes, but its formula with micelles is perfect for cleaning your shoes too. Use a cotton ball and moisten it with the product, and then gently rub the stain. As in the previous case, it is necessary to clean in the same direction as the hairs to obtain a good result.
Eraser
This technique is one of the simplest, but very little known. Superficial stains on your suede shoes can be removed by simply rubbing an eraser across the surface. Use the eraser just as you would to erase a word you've misspelled, and then use a soft-bristled brush to remove any debris left behind. Once again, to remove this residue, pass the brush in the same direction as the hairs.
